Heart of Hearts, 2012

A man in my town collects bibles. He has bought many of them from my secondhand bookshop. Although he is extremely private, he allowed us to photograph his collection.
In this video, he attempts to put into words the role his collection plays in his life. I am left with the feeling that he is somehow performing an important function; carrying a great burden so that the rest of us don't have to.
